This discussion board is used for AP Literature students to discuss, defend, and analyze poetry responses. Each week's poetry response winner is required to host discussions based on his or her essay. Other students can ask questions about the response, challenge analyses from the response, and carry on general discussions about ideas discussed in the response. Analytical thought is required, but challenging a classmate's ideas is encouraged.

(9-17-2015) Erika Torres' response to "Ars Poetica" by Archibald MacLeish
Click here to read Erika's response.
Directions: Create arguments and counterclaims to your classmate's ideas. Ask questions that pry into his/her interpretations and claims. Your classmate has (5) bonus points that you can steal by developing stronger arguments or stumping him/her on analysis questions. One student can steal all (5) points, or the points can be divided among several students. Good luck and happy debating!
